Launching a paid version

Hello friends!

I’m excited to share that The Intellectual Edge is entering a new chapter.

For this publication to offer the level of value I’m desperate to provide, it must move on to being a paid publication.

I’ve found a passion in writing, I love learning and sharing what I find with you; this passion is intensifying and I’m eager to start providing higher quality content, and more of it.

And so I find myself at a crossroads.

If I’m going to keep doing this, and offer higher quality content, I need to give this endeavour more of my time, but doing that comes with a cost.

Being something built in my spare time, this newsletter has meant sacrifices; through not seeing family or friends, not exercising, even not sleeping.

I’m desperate to write more - and better - content, but if I’m to do it justice I’d need to dedicate a lot more time to it. Time of which I don’t have.

Whilst I wish I could provide free content forever, it’s simply not possible nor sustainable for me.

So, starting from today, this newsletter will be introducing a paid option.

Don’t worry, I’m not putting everything behind a paywall. I’ll still write plenty of free posts (my daily notes will also continue as normal). I want everyone to become better investors and thinkers with me, regardless of their situation.

But if you’ve found value in what I’ve been writing, if this newsletter has improved your thinking, challenged your assumptions, or simply been something you look forward to, then I’d be grateful for your support.

In paying annually, the average monthly cost is just $13

You can effectively employ me full time as a researcher, analyst, and investing insight gatherer, all for the monthly price of a coffee & a sandwich at a cafe.

I truly believe this is an attractive proposition.

With each article I write we both become a little smarter, hence the quality of the content will rise along with our intellect.

For this reason I strongly believe the proposition will only become more valuable over time.

Any eventual price increases will only apply to new subscribers, therefore today’s price will be the best value it’ll ever be.

Not only this, but with more time to dedicate to this publication, I can start incorporating more kinds of posts into my offering (more on this further down).

I’m overflowing with ideas and insights that I’d love to talk about on here, all I need is the time to write about them.

I’d like to mention one more thing; this is not a get rich quick newsletter, I won’t be sending you 100-bagger stocks, and I’ll never promise that you’ll smash the market because of this newsletter; if these are the things you desire, I’m unfortunately not the publication for you.

I have no ulterior motive; I really do think deeply about the articles I write, I work hard to be rational and objective whilst also offering my own nuanced takes. These articles are just as crucial to my thinking as they may be to yours.

My goal is to genuinely improve investment processes, knowledge, decision making, and to make some valuable friendships with you all along the way.
