I think this may be my favorite article on Substack. It is beautifully written and it resonates so much with what I try to do everyday as an investor and the reason I started my newsletter. Curiosity is so useful in investing and your knowledge only compounds with time so it is never too late to start! Being able to understand a business deeply enough to write down what it does and your thesis to a large audience only enhances your understanding and ultimately your conviction.
It was a really fun one to write so I am glad you enjoyed it. I think there are so many ideas that us investors can benefit from by studying people that made their name outside of investing. Maybe the most important lessons are the non-financial ones?

And one thing i want to mention : being simple is good but when the mind gets used to it, it will be quite difficult to absorb challenging information.
while you are trying to be simple, you get used to such approach when you are getting information. and it takes time)
I think the only way to successfully approach simplicity is if you have full understanding of the complex, though.
The things youāre best at in life are the things you could explain in a simple manner, I think it isnāt necessarily about limiting the complexity of information youāre consuming, but about knowing what matters and having simple outputs from those potentially complex inputs.
Yes, their brilliance is very different, I agree with you. I also appreciate the feedback, I find the videos to be helpful supplements to my own points as another way to bring an idea home; over time Iāve gotten more comfortable with the writing process Iām in less need of the crutch of something like the Musk video. Funnily enough the method Iāve used to learn essay/article writing is a lot like the Feynman method.
